A light that shines when it’s darkest

The thing about hope is that it’s a positive force that shines the most when it’s dark. When everything’s going well, we hardly notice it’s there. But when things go against us, when our dreams fade and when we see no immediate reprieve from our troubles, that’s when hope does its best work for us.

Hope and change

Without hope, we remain blind to the possibility of change. We fall under the illusion that there is no other means of escape for us, that it is the end and nothing good could ever happen anymore.

Hope alone keeps us afloat. It is like a beacon that shines its light upon us, making us see a future that can still be within our reach.

Finding hope

Sometimes, all we need is a bit of rest and a change of scenery. We need to change our focus so we could see once more what truly matters.

You need to breathe in hope.

Even when you think you could never recreate the exact moment you’ve tasted it. Even when you feel you couldn’t possibly catch it again.

Hope may have become so elusive for you, but you must do something to find it again.

Wait for it in places where you have found it before. Prepare your heart so you could make room for it when it finally comes to visit you. Open as many doors as you possibly could so it may not go on knocking upon closed doors when it finally arrives. Hope may come in ways we least expect it to, but we must be prepared when it comes. We must desire for it to come.

And here’s the true secret. Hope would always come if we do not give up.
